Crystal Beach, also known as Patton, is one of the small coastal communities that make up the Bolivar Peninsula in Eastern Texas. It is part of Galveston County and is just a short drive from Galveston and Santa Fe. You can easily access Crystal Beach from Interstate 45 or Highway 87.
The roots of Crystal Beach date back to 1898, at which time the community was known as Patton Beach or simply Patton. During these early years, the town consisted of simply a post office, a railroad station and a few residential homes
. Over the years, Patton Beach slowly grew; however, it remains a relatively small community today. Its name was changed to Crystal Beach in the early part of 1940.
Parks and Recreation

in this gorgeous Texas community enjoy attending a large variety of special events during the year. Each year in mid-April, nearby Galveston hosts its Annual Food and Wine Festival. Highlights of the Food and Wine Fest include wine tasting, cooking demonstrations, a 5k race and fun contests.
Another event that occurs just minutes from investment homes in Crystal Beach is the Annual Galveston Island Wild Shrimp Fest. While attending this event, you can enjoy such festivities as live music, gumbo tasting, a gumbo cookoff, a 5k race and games for the kids.
